Your website is the digital showcase of your activity. Let’s ensure it represents your image and is accessible to everyone.

What is Digital Accessibility?
Digital accessibility means that your website can be used by everyone, including people with disabilities.
In Luxembourg, this is not only a matter of inclusion but also a legal obligation for many organizations.

Legal Requirements in Luxembourg
For Public Bodies
The European Web Accessibility Directive was transposed into Luxembourg law in 2019. It requires the state, municipalities, and many state-funded organizations and non-profits to make their websites and mobile applications digitally accessible.
For Private Companies
The European Accessibility Act was transposed into Luxembourg law in 2023 and requires private companies that meet certain criteria to make their products and services accessible.
Standards and Guidelines
All websites must meet the criteria of the European standard. This is based on the international WCAG 2.1 standards and includes more than 150 verification criteria for accessibility.

Accessibility with Understanding
For me, digital accessibility is about more than just complying with technical standards. Through my work with people with disabilities and in the field of intercultural inclusion, I understand who we are creating accessible communication for and why it is essential in their everyday lives.

Accessibility is not a checklist, but a mindset. In web development, I focus on people’s actual needs: people with visual impairments who work with screen readers; older people with motor limitations who don’t use a mouse; or users with hearing impairments who depend on clear text information. These real requirements determine my work. Around 15–20% of the population lives with some form of disability – for them, accessibility is indispensable. And it provides all users with a website that is easier to understand and use.
