Communicating accessibly on social media

This training is not yet available. Please contact me if you would like to be informed when it becomes available.

This training gives you the tools to make your social media posts accessible to everyone, without radically changing the way you work.

You will discover how people with specific needs experience your content: what a screen reader actually reads when you post an emoji, a hashtag, or an image without alternative text. Hands-on demonstrations will show you the real impact of common practices that are sometimes unintentionally exclusionary.

The training covers best practices for the most frequently published content types: images and alternative text, emojis, hashtags, videos and subtitles, formatting to avoid, as well as the specificities of the main platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Mastodon and Bluesky.

The training is aimed at communications officers, community managers, and anyone who publishes content on social media.

The training Digital Accessibility for Your Organisation is recommended as a prerequisite, as the legal framework and basic concepts are not repeated there.

ℹ️ Training sessions are delivered in French or Luxembourgish. Training materials and documents are available in French only. Sessions take place at the client’s premises, for groups of 2 to 8 participants.
